Not every accommodation has to be high tech to be effective. While technology is great, it can sometimes be overwhelming and actually make the task even harder for the individual. Low-tech and no-tech options are inexpensive, easily implemented and can sometimes meet all of the individual’s needs. These type of accommodations usually require us to use common, everyday items is whole new ways.
In this lesson, Brian Norton, director of assistive technology at Easterseals Crossroads, takes a closer look at some low-tech/no-tech accommodations for everyday tasks.
