We all make mistakes and we learn from those mistakes. However, people with disabilities often aren’t given the opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them.
In this lesson, you will learn about the importance of trying, failing, learning from failure, and trying again. This lesson discusses the dignity and equality that comes with risk, and how to determine what is acceptable risk. It also includes a discussion about how to balance our desire to protect our loved ones with our desire to promote self-determination, independence, and decision making.
